I was sat at my computer – my face three inches from the screen – when I realised I needed to get my eyes tested.
I received my first pair of glasses a few years ago, after seeing an optometrist due to eye strain. My glasses were just a basic pair for reading and computer work. But after two or so years, I started to notice they would give me headaches.
Instead of going back to the optometrist, I put the glasses in my desk drawer and forgot all about them, opting to go glasses free for my 8+ hours of computer work a day.
But then I realised I couldn’t actually see what I was doing. Not without leaning into my computer and squinting a little.
I feel like this is the first actual sign of aging, right? Diminishing eyesight?
LOL anyway, I went back to the optometrist and surprise, surprise – I needed stronger glasses.
Where do you buy your glasses from? I’ve only ever shopped at Specsavers, and I do have to say that I’m majorly surprised by the styles they have instore right now.
I got two pairs of black framed glasses for $199 [bargain, right?]. I chose these ones because rose gold, duh, and these ones because they make my head look waaaay less round [a bloody achievement and a half, let me tell you].
Here’s to clearer vision and less squinting!
I buy mine from my optometrist, they have an amazing selection. Can be a bit pricey though! I loveee your simple frames though!

Love your new glasses! You can wear one pair and use the other as a photo prop when you need to 😛
I’ve been so lazy and haven’t updated my glasses in years since I use my contacts most of the time. I usually go to Specsavers too but I want new frames since I’ve had my current frames since I was 20?! and I think I’m going tp check out a couple of online stores!q
