Three drugstore concealers I always keep on hand

There’s something I’ve noticed about myself over the past months, and it’s this: I’m exceptionally lazy when it comes to my makeup routine.

I just don’t like to dedicate too much time to it, if I’m being honest. I’d rather spend that time on skincare, ensuring I have a solid base to work with before applying extra products over the top to cover or highlight areas of my face.

Something I always, always keep on hand in excess is concealer. Multiple brands, multiple shades — there’s truly nothing concealer cannot do when it comes to creating a healthy, lively base. Concealer is also a little more lightweight than most foundations, which is preferred in a tropical, summer climate. It’s also one of those products you can never really have enough of, especially if you’re like me and kind of just apply it everywhere. It’s low fuss, minimal maintenance and super easy to reapply throughout the day.

Here are the three drugstore concealers I always keep on hand.

L’Oreal True Match

I love using this concealer to build a lightweight base. It’s not my favourite for covering blemishes or brightening my face overall, but it is buildable, lightweight coverage that evens out my skin tone and makes me look more put together. The formula is creamy af and super blendable.

Maybelline Age Rewind

My favourite concealer for covering dark spots and blemishes — this concealer just gets me. It’s so lightweight but has incredible coverage. This is one to pick up if you’re looking for infallible blemish or spot coverage, and you really don’t need to apply a lot to cover your problem areas.

Rimmel Lasting Radiance

Finally, my favourite concealer for brightening my under eye area specifically — this one lifts those shadows and is also a great option for highlighting certain points on my face. I tend to use this as my final step to really brighten my face and make me look more awake than I actually am.
